My name is Markie Tormoen and I am from Wisconsin. At 7 years old I started shooting a bow and began bowhunting at age 12. I have been fortunate enough to harvest 3 bucks with my bow in the past 4 years! While I have hunted deer with a rifle, bowhunting is my true passion, as I love the added challenge and excitement that it brings.
Along with whitetail hunting, I enjoy hunting elk, turkey, bowfishing, and pheasant hunting with my 2 Shorthair Pointers Ruger and Caliber. I was a caller on my family’s archery elk hunt last year in Wyoming and will be this year as well, but plan to apply for my first elk tag in fall of 2016. My first duck hunt is also planned for this fall near the Mississippi River!
I enjoy sharing my passion for hunting and the outdoors others and have even taught one of my girlfriends how to shoot trap. I try my best to make their experience positive by making it as fun as possible, as I feel that is one of the best ways to ensure that they try it again, and continue to pursue it! I look forward to sharing all of my hunting experiences with everyone and providing feedback on what I learn along the way!
