My name is Kayla Hill, and I live right in the heart of Kansas where I work as a surgical nurse. Growing up, I never had the opportunity to hunt. I’ve always had a love for the outdoors, but it wasn’t until recently that my boyfriend introduced me to hunting through waterfowl. I’ve been completely hooked ever since that first group of ducks flew into the decoys. I enjoy all aspects of the hunt, from scouting, to brushing in blinds and setting the spread. Although my main focus has been waterfowl, I have big goals set for myself. I really have an interest in bowhunting, and am itching to start big game hunting.

I’m a major dog lover. Our lab, Otis, will be two this year, and we’ll be adding a female lab to our little family this coming winter. I enjoy being a part of the training process, and I love to watch all the hard work pay off in the field. I also have a passion for photography, and hunting has given me a new challenge to conquer with that.

There’s always so much to learn, and that is part of why I love hunting so much. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to share my experiences, knowledge, and my journey of learned lessons with others who share my passion for the outdoors.
