Recipe: Sweet Chili Wild Turkey and Fried Rice

During hunting season, I'm always looking for quick and easy things to make for dinner so I can hunt in the evenings. I found the Panda Express Sweet Chili Sauce while purchasing the Orange Sauce for venison nuggets, and since I've ordered the Sweet Chili Chicken at Panda Express, I knew I'd like this flavor. This meal took about 30 minutes, and I will definitely be making it again!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. wild turkey breast

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • Flour

  • Oil for frying

  • Rice-A-Roni Fried Rice

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 bottle Panda Express Sweet Chili Sauce

Directions

Prep turkey breast by trimming and cutting into chunks. Rinse and drain.

Start cooking rice. Follow instructions on box: melt butter in large skillet, add rice and saute until rice is golden brown. Add water and included seasoning packet. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 15-20 minutes.

While rice is cooking, dip turkey in egg and coat in flour. I find it easiest to put flour in a plastic bag, add turkey meat and shake until coated. Heat oil in large skillet (cast iron is my preference!). Add turkey meat to skillet and fry a few minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Remove from oil, drain excess oil on paper towels.

Pour Sweet Chili Sauce over turkey and toss to coat.

Serve turkey over rice, and enjoy!
