Recipe: Venison Salisbury Steak

Who doesn't love an easy ground venison recipe?! Team member Courtney Schnitzler from Kentucky provided this super easy salisbury steak recipe. This is a favorite meal of many hunters and we love seeing how different people switch it up.


Ingredients


Steak:

  • 1 lb ground meat

  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs (plain or Italian)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 2 teaspoons ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Gravy:

  • 2 packets of brown gravy mix

  • 2 cups of hot water

  • 1 teaspoon ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce



Directions


Mix together all steak ingredients and form into patties.


Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet and pan fry patties on medium heat until browned.


Mix all gravy ingredients in a small bowl, pour into skillet over browned patties. Let patties simmer 10-15 minutes; gravy will thicken.


Serve with your favorite sides!
