Wild turkey isn't just for spring season. We love enjoying our harvests all year long, and fall is the perfect time to enjoy comfort foods like pot pie! This recipe is super easy and just uses a few ingredients. In under an hour, you can have a delicious, home cooked dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb of shredded or cubed wild turkey breast
2 cans of cream of chicken (or mushroom or celery)
1 cup peas
1 cup carrots
Salt and pepper to taste
2 pie crusts (refrigerated roll out crusts, or homemade)
Directions
Form 1 pie crust into standard 9" pie plate.
Mix together turkey, soup, peas, and carrots. Pour into pie plate.
Cover with the second pie crust, pinch edges together and score top of pie.
Bake at 425 for 40 minutes, covering crust edges halfway through to prevent over cooking.
